. Stories From Around the World. Since ancient times, people from all cultures and countries have preserved and passed down knowlege in the form of stories. Some of the stories are funny, some are moving, and all will be remembered!

. Native American Tales and Legends . Linda is a registered member of the Choctaw Nation, but her stories come from all tribes and native people. Told with knowledge and respect, the stories of Coyote the Trickster, Grandmother Spider, animals, history, and nature all come alive with wonder and delight to teach the wisdom of balance.

. Tales From the Time of King Arthur . Stories to provide a glimpse into the way people lived in the Middle Ages and Renaissance times. Knights, lords and ladies, kings, queens and the common man lend voice to this turbulent, boisterous, exciting period of history.

. Aesop's Fables . Aesop's Fables are timeless classics that teach morals. These stories are still useful today in illustrating cause and effect in the real world. Young and old will enjoy the creative play Linda brings to these ageless fables.

. Stories of the Sky and Stars . Each people, each civilization has always had their stories of the origin of the stars. For thousands of years star stories have served as a creative, easily remembered means of passing important information from one generation to the next. The stars remain constant to carry the stories.

. Western Movement Tales . Linda tells tall tales, stories from the Gold Rush times and from the western movment. Historical records, personal journals, myth and more come alive as Linda transports her listeners through the history of the old West.


. Storytelling Across the Curriculum. As a three hour workshop you will learn how you can utilize story as a creative teaching tool that enriches and supports curriculum standards.

Sample lesson plans, exercises and stories are provided.

As a four week residency, Linda will come into classrooms and students will directly experience the dramatic arts by actively participating in exercises that enhance their critical, creative, listening skills, and their appreciation and comprehension of literature. Visual aids, rhythm instruments and props help the children exercise their imaginative powers as three Aesop's fables are brought to life. These fables will be connected to many core subjects, such as literature, history, science, and creative writing. This is an in-service f or teachers as well.

Up to five 40 minutes classes can be scheduled.

* A two hour pre -workshop for teachers is recommended with the four week residency program.
