How I passed the barrier of light

I have been working as a free-lance storyteller and educator since the late eighties. Before that I worked as a psychologist. I've always been involved in various local and international networking projects. The last seven years I have been focusing more on storytelling in education. I find it immensely rewarding to see young people grow when they find their storytelling voice. And I cannot imagine a more adventurous and meaningful area to explore than the intersection of storytelling and learning. That is the theme of one of my books (Why? 2008) and the subject of a 15p course I teach at the University of Gotland. It is also the theme of my latest international networking project, "Telling, thinking, linking".

As a storyteller I love a lot of genres from creation myths to tall tales to the story of Big Bang. And I'm most interested in developing more conversational and improvisational forms of storytelling, for use in learning settings.
