Kamini is co-founder, curator and professional storyteller at MoonShadow
Stories. A founding member, four-term President (2008-2012) and current
Vice-President of the Storytelling Association (Singapore) she is also
Artistic Director for the Singapore International Storytelling Festival.
She teaches 'The Storytelling Intensive' to performing arts students at
LASALLE College of the Arts and is currently studying for her MA Artist
Educator postgraduate degree.

She grew up inheriting stories from her grandfather and has continued this
storytelling tradition as a career based in Singapore. Her focus on keeping
traditional stories alive has taken her on journeys into the jungles of
Malaysia to stay with the indigenous tribes, to small villages in Thanjavur
to listen to rural women bring alive South Indian folktales and to Shillong
where she re-told Khasi tribal tales to the community.

She has performed at the Chennai Storytelling Festival, Festival At The
Edge (UK), Festival Internazionale Di Storytelling Raccontamiunastoria
(Italy), Sydney International Storytelling Conference, Scottish
International Storytelling Festival and Alden Biesen International
Storytelling Festival (Belgium). Kamini also participated in the Federation
for European Storytelling (FEST) annual conference held in Italy in 2013.
